As CombatCon the convention comes to a close, you may be wondering “what’s next” and “where can I get more world-class training?” While the halcyon days of Vegas ballrooms and crazy antics on the Strip are fading into fond memories, there are plenty of smaller, focused events that will keep the training, the community, and the love of martial arts alive. Our organizers are excited to bring you CombatCon Events – a centralized portal for finding, registering, and attending other partner events, including tournaments, specialized training, curated adventures and experiences, and so much more.

The Dueling Experience
New Orleans
September 19th – 22nd, 2025
The CombatCon Dueling Experience moves to New Orleans, a city with dueling embedded in it’s history.
This Experience will combine instruction in the historical protocols of a duel, dueling codes and martial arts classes as well as a look into the city’s history of dueling. Participants will prepare to defend their honor (and themselves) in personal combat. The Experience will culminate in mock duels, inspired by all the drama, danger, and romance of their historical counterparts.
Delve into the art & science of the foil
Foil Camp: French & Italian Traditions
South Bend, Indiana
June 25th – 29th, 2026
Embark on a 3 1/2 day journey into the refined arts of French and Italian foil fencing, exploring the distinct philosophies and techniques that define each tradition. This camp is designed for both newcomers who want an introduction and experienced fencers seeking to refine their skills and understanding.

Rapier Camp: Italian & Spanish Fencing

A unique and in-depth immersion into the art of 17th-century rapier fencing, where you will choose to focus on either the Italian or Spanish tradition. This intensive training offers a structured environment for both newcomers and experienced martial artists alike.

Steel on the Sound
Port Townsend, Washington
May 30th – June 1st, 2025
A weekend of knife dueling instruction and a capstone tournament with Tim Anderson, Steve Huff, John Lennox, and Tim Ruzicki!
Classes included Kukri, Bowie Knife, and Navaja, and will focus on knife dueling rather than modern knife fighting or self-defense. A new style of tournament was held on Sunday, Jun 1, where participants tested their skills and showed their mettle.
What to expect from CombatCon Events:
- Partner events, and events organized by CombatCon organizers will be displayed on the portal
- Events will be advertized to the CombatCon community
- Logistical information will be provided on the CombatCon Events portal
- Participants will be able to register for events on the CombatCon portal
- Event organizers will be able to partner with CombatCon Events to have their event displayed and advertized on the portal
