Movement Improvisation

Movement improvisation is a useful tool on so many levels! For movement teachers and choreographers, it’s useful for content creation, but it can honestly open your horizons in so many ways when it comes to moving your body through space. By exploring movement games rooted in the building blocks of dance composition, students will build confidence in that there is no wrong answer and that any fling of the arms can lead to great discoveries. Students can expect to warm up, play movement games, and laugh a lot. Beyond simply having fun running around the room like a bear or rolling like a grape, this class will broaden an understanding of how to initiate movement and translate concepts to any training regiment.
